1. Who we are

Behestia is a home environment intelligence product currently in early development. The data controller responsible for your personal data is Inês Viana, operating under the Behestia brand. You can contact us at behestia@inesviana.com.

2. What data we collect and why

We currently collect the following personal data:

We do not collect health data, sensor data, or any behavioural data at this stage. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party. Ever.

3. How we store your data

Your email address is stored securely in Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), which acts as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Brevo is a French company headquartered in Paris, fully GDPR-compliant, and stores data within the European Union by default.

We do not store your email address on our own servers. We have no database. The only copy of your email exists within Brevo's systems.

4. How long we keep your data

We will keep your email address on our waitlist until: (a) you unsubscribe, (b) we launch the product and complete the beta onboarding process, or (c) you request deletion — whichever comes first. We will not contact you for any purpose other than beta access updates.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:

• Right of access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure: Ask us to delete your data at any time.
• Right to restriction: Ask us to limit how we process your data.
• Right to portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing prior to withdrawal).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at behestia@inesviana.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

6. Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not collect personally identifiable information. Data is aggregated and anonymous. No consent banner is required.

7. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The only cookies that may be set are strictly necessary for the site to function (e.g. security tokens). No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under GDPR.

8. Future product (data principles)

When the Behestia app launches, we are committed to the following principles before collecting any additional data:

• Sensor data will be processed on-device wherever technically possible.
• Any data sent to our servers will be encrypted in transit and at rest.
• We will never sell user data to third parties.
• Any use of anonymised data for research requires explicit opt-in.
• Users can export or delete all their data at any time.
• We will publish a full Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) before launch.
